Department has anesthesia machine (BOC) one for each OT i.e. 04 in number each machine has its own flutec vaporizer for halothane, an ECA monitor, a ventilator (ohmeda). The main OT has a multi-para monitor which monitors ECG, SPO2, ETC02, NIP & temperature. O2, N2O supply is by pipeline.
Kinds of anesthesia:
• General Anesthesia
• Spinal/Epidural Anesthesia
• Local Anesthesia
Anesthesia given for the following kind of surgeries depends upon type of surgery and patient’s general conditions.
1. Urology- TURP, TURBT, Cystoscopies, stone surgery eg.
i) Removed endoscopically & Ureteroscopically
ii) PNCL pyelolithotripsy, ureterolothotomy, VEA, undescended testes hyrocaele etc.
iii) Laser Surgery for Tumors & Stones- Appedicectomy hernia, gall bladder surgery (Laproscopic or Open), intenstinal surgeries, spleenectomy, fistula piles etc.
2. General Surgery- Hysterectomy, LSCS, laparoscopy D & C, MTP myomectomy, breast surgery etc.
3. Gynecology- DHS, Hip replacement, fractures, laminectomy, Plastering & Screening etc.
4. Orthopedics
5. Plastic Surgery- Skin grafting, cleft lip, palate etc.
6. Eye Surgery- IOL (cataract) glaucoma etc.
7. ETN Surgery- Tonsils, Mastoidectomy, tympanoplasty OMS etc.
