A 9-bed intensive care unit is at core of the medical care facilities. Availability of senior physicians round the clock coupled with the senior and junior residents has resulted in high standards of care. Use of ventilators and Pace-makers is a routine. More than 2,500 patients are admitted to the intensive care (ICU) unit every year

The departmental head, Dr Vivek Dwivedi is well known clinician. The cardiology unit that has echocardiography, treadmill stress testing, halter monitoring and ancillary facilities. Peripheral arteriogram including digital-subtraction angiograms is performed.
