This department has achieved singular fame with 368 successful kidney transplantations. Head of the department, Dr Sunder Lal Tolani, is responsible for developing a unique and complete urological center. Facilities for Trans Urethral Resection (TUR) surgery, Percutaneous Nephrolithotripsy (PCNL), Extracorporeal Shock-Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL), ureteroscopy, and laser surgeries exist.
More than 1,000 major and 3,000 minor surgeries are performed every year. A dedicated team of Consultants, Senior and Junior Resident doctors, well-trained assistants and nurses complement the working. The hospital has developed need to elaborate in urological surgical techniques.
